A nutritious snack for the kids

If you want to give a whole food snack to your kids, try a 1/2 cup or more of raw sunflower seeds and raisins. Raisins, not only provide vitamins and minerals, including iron, for a healthy body, but can help reduce the risk of getting cavities. Sunflower seeds have tryptophan in it. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid. Your body does not produce this. You have to get it through the foods you eat. Tryptophan helps make serotonin in your body, which, in turn, helps to relieve stress. My kids eat this snack daily.
